Oil Pump driveshaft is slightly too short.

Can strip out teeth leading to loss of oil pressure

  • In addition (per Brodule): The simple solution is a hp-pump output pipe seal, cut in to a half height cylinder. It is flexible, and will compress just as much as is needed. Never put anything solid in to shim the oil pump shaft. I have seen this destroy oil pumps by end loading the rotor too much. This should be done even with the extended shaft.
